Dyfnia Bach Disability Access Statement

  • Cottage approx. 1.5 miles from the village of Llanfairpwll
  • The cottage is not on a bus route
  • Bus service timetables for the locality can be found in cottage
  • There is a railway station ( Llanfairpwll PG ) approx. 1.5 miles from the cottage and it is on the mainline to Holyhead
  • Train timetables can be found in the cottage
  • There are food / grocery shops in the village ( a Spar, family run Bakery & Co-op )
  • There is a cash point at the Spar shop in the village
  • Doctors surgery and chemist in village
  • The drive up to the cottage in uneven and not tarmacked
  • There is ample parking outside the cottage
  • The front of the cottage is grassed and uneven
  • Dyfnia Bach is a traditional Welsh cottage with small cosy rooms
  • At the side of the cottage is a concrete path which leads to the back door
  • The front & rear doors are narrow ( a wheel chair would not be able to gain access Front door measures 80cm Back door measures 80cm
  • Inside doors measure 75cm
  • There is a step up to the front door
  • Inside the cottage there are 3 fairly steep steps leading into the main double bedroom
  • The cottage has a 2 bedrooms on the ground level ( one room with a double bed, the second with twin beds )
  • There is a steep set of open wooden stairs leading to a traditional ‘grog loft’ which is the third bedroom
  • There is one bathroom which is equipped with a bath, overhead shower and WC. There are no support rails in the bathroom
  • Galley type kitchen
  • From backdoor level lawn with picnic table, then a slope up to the top of the garden
  • From the rear of the cottage you can access the garage. There are steps and a slight slope up to the garage where the tumble drier and logs are kept
